Alexis is a magical snowbear from Siberia. Two small children made him out of snow one afternoon, using shiny pebbles for his eyes and a wood chip for his nose. That night, when the moon broke out from behind the clouds, he came to life. He wandered about, but could not find anyone to play with, so he pulled out his cell phone (something every modern bear should have) and called the Colorado rescue team. They found Alexis sleeping underneath a green fir tree, and Alexis was presented with a genuine Colorado pinecone. He was so fascinated by it that he came to Colorado to see the pine trees for himself.
